Our Approach

Turning ‘Metal and Plastic’ To ‘Warm and Fuzzy’

“Our biggest lesson was that customer service was virtually non-existent in our Southern Oregon communities. This single reason led us to found Office Tech, aiming to fill that void. Our competitors went through numerous instances of upsizing, downsizing, right-sizing, and wrong-sizing, causing them to focus on everything but the customer. Most of them are based outside our area, which has compromised their ability to deliver local customer service. It became our mission to transform a mere ‘metal and plastic’ product into a ‘warm and fuzzy’ relationship every time we encountered a new customer.

This marked the beginning of our ‘Knock Your Socks Off’ (KYSO) customer care initiative. This isn’t just a marketing slogan; it’s the very foundation of our organization. When an Office Tech product or service specialist visits a customer, instead of offering a business card introduction, you’ll find them presenting a pair of socks along with the message, “We’re here to ‘KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!'”
– John Mytinger, President of Office Technologies, Inc.
